English language arts and science are the school's clear strengths. Fifth-grade ELA (84.4%), sixth-grade ELA (79.7%), and eighth-grade ELA (71.9%) all beat Ohio averages and sit near the top of the nearby comparison group, ahead of Howland Middle School, Niles Middle School, and most others; Champion Middle School is the only nearby school clearly ahead in eighth-grade ELA.
