Monroe Central High School is a public high school in Woodsfield, OH, serving grades 9–12 with 246 students as part of the Switzerland of Ohio Local district. Its 2025–2026 rank is 500/795 (37th percentile, 2 stars), a bit above its district's 36th percentile and well up from the bottom quartile — the 16th percentile in 2016–2017 and 22nd in 2017–2018 — with a dip to 29th in 2024–2025 before rebounding. About 56.1% of students qualified for free or reduced lunch in 2024–2025, up from 41.05% in 2022–2023, and the student–teacher ratio is 11.7.

Academically, American Government is the standout: 84.3% proficiency in 2025–2026, higher than every nearby school and 12.7 points above the state's 71.6%.
