Mccormick Middle School is a public middle school in Wellington, Ohio, serving 338 students in grades 4–8 as part of the Wellington Exempted Village district. In 2025–2026 the school ranked 709th of 1,046 Ohio schools (32nd percentile, 2 stars), and its district ranked 529th of 773 (32nd percentile, 2 stars). The long-term trend is a slide: McCormick was a 3-star school at the 55th–56th percentile in 2020–2021 and 2021–2022, but has held 2 stars and the 32nd–44th percentile since 2022–2023, with the latest rank the lowest percentile in the displayed history.

Results split sharply by grade. In 2025–2026 grades 4–5 were often at or above state averages, including 4th grade math (69.7% proficient vs. 67.3%), 4th grade ELA (66.7% vs. 61.8%) and 5th grade ELA (72.4% vs. 70.4%). Upper grades fell well behind: 8th grade math was 26.7% vs. the state's 52%, 8th grade ELA 33.8% vs. 58.3%, and 8th grade science 38.8% vs. 61.2%.
