As you review the school rankings data, please be aware that some of the information from certain demographics is missing. The reason for this omission is that the data has been redacted from the source data itself due to low population samples in these specific demographic groups.

Redacting data from low population samples is a necessary step to ensure the reliability and accuracy of the results, as small sample sizes may not be representative of the broader population. Additionally, this measure helps protect the privacy of individuals belonging to these demographic groups.

Open Quote Wilder Elementary is a poor in education school. The staff is not diverse or cultured to interact with minorities. The teachers are mean to kids that are not Caucasian decent. The mostly Caucasian teachers have no problem degraded and bullying your child. This school shows no real care for the education of the kids. My experiences with the front staff has been Terrible and the teachers catastrophic.
The principle will protect the teacher and not.the students. This is one of.the worst school to send your child too. If I could rate a -star I would Close Quote

Open Quote I absolutely love the teachers at this school. I have children in third, first and kindergarten here. All of their teachers have been amazingly talented and wonderful to work with. The only complaint about the school is this. I feel like they are incredibly focused on the children that tend to struggle, offering them extra help during class time with reading and math if necessary. This is great. However, I feel that the children that are meeting or exceeding grade expectations, are not receiving the attention they should. I have volunteered many times, and I have noticed that there are quite a few kids that are just not being challenged on a daily basis because they are stuck waiting for other kids to catch up to their level. I realize that teachers unfortunately have no control of this. How money gets allocated is an administrative issue. For this reason I couldn't score the school above three stars. If you're thinking of moving into the area, you might want to consider another district within Westerville if your children excel academically. Close Quote

About Students eligible for discounted/free lunch:

The National School Lunch Program (NSLP) provides low-cost or free meals to students in U.S. public and nonprofit private schools based on household income. Those with incomes below 130% of the poverty line receive free lunch, while those between 130% and 185% qualify for reduced-price lunch. The percentage of students receiving free or reduced-price lunch serves as a marker for poverty, as it reflects the socioeconomic status of families in a given school or district. A higher FRPL rate typically indicates a higher concentration of low-income families, suggesting that the school or district may face additional challenges in providing adequate resources and support for student success.

About Student-Teacher Ratio

Student/teacher ratio is calculated by dividing the total number of students by the total number of full-time equivalent teachers. Please note that a smaller student/teacher ratio does not necessarily translate to smaller class size. In some instances, schools hire teachers part time, and some teachers are hired for specialized instruction with very small class sizes. These and other factors contribute to the student/teacher ratio. Note: For private schools, Student/teacher ratio may not include Pre-Kindergarten.
