Defiance Middle School in Defiance, OH, serves 572 students in grades 6–8 and is the largest school in its regional peer group, located in the mid-pack Defiance City School District in northwest Ohio. In 2025–2026, it ranked 351st of 1,046 Ohio middle schools (66th percentile, 3 stars), a notable jump from the 46th percentile and 2 stars two years earlier. That upward trend is the single most important fact for families: this is not a stagnant school.
