Fairview Middle School is a rural public middle school serving grades 6–8 in Sherwood, Ohio, in the Defiance County area, with 217 students as the sole middle school in the Central Local district. It ranks 134th of 1,046 Ohio middle schools in 2025–26 — the 87th percentile, 4 stars, and the top 13% of the state. That is its strongest showing since its 2015–16 peak, and the school has never fallen below the 75th percentile in a decade of records. Its one notable dip, in 2023–24 (75th percentile), has been followed by two straight years of improvement.
