A few schools stand out as performing particularly well within the district. Ps 95 Eastwood is an elementary school ranked 380 out of 2,439 elementary schools in New York state and rated 4 stars out of 5 by SchoolDigger. It has consistently high proficiency rates on state assessments, outperforming the district and state averages. Another high-performing school is Ps 181 Brookfield, an elementary school ranked 279 out of 2,439 and rated 4 stars, with 80-88% of students scoring proficient or better on state assessments. The combined elementary and middle school Ps/Is 208 is also a strong performer, with 60-78% of students scoring proficient or better.

However, the district also has a wide range of performance, with some schools struggling.
