Open Quote First of all, I am a Bedford student. From a normal kid who wants nothing more than specific classes that I need in order to peruse my future in building the school makes you go through all these bullshit starting classes first. you have to wait until your junior year to start this journey, where they have the option to send you to an ENTIRE another school for 1/3 of the day, just to do something you love. second of all the whole diversity low grading is the most retarded thing I've ever heard. We don't have a diverse school because we discriminate, we have one because no one of colour wants to enrol because of the stereotype. The science program is the worst I've ever seen. History is good, math is good, reading and writing are ok, and the languages are bad. very liberal school, and doesn't encourage free thinking. Overall score D. Oh wait I can't give Ds... Bedford high school doesn't believe in Ds. Bedford high school has the dumbest most useless style of grading students. We have what is called compenticies. This means all of your work ( that is graded ) is divided into multiple parts. ( usually between 3-4). You are graded on these 3-4 parts instead of the entire project as a whole. Meaning that it is possible to have your kid come home from school, have an 89 in a class, but still technically be failing and eligible for summer school, which you would then have to pay for. Not a single student or parent I Have asked has said this was a smart move of the boards part. Hey, look on the bright side, we have excellent sports. You may fail academically like a majority of the intelligent kids I hang out with, but you can always have that Bulldog Pride. WOOF Close Quote
