The school currently ranks 198th out of 662 high schools statewide (70th percentile) with a 4-star rating, a meaningful jump from the prior-year rank of 250th. Amid nearby comprehensive Wake County schools, Fuquay-Varina sits just behind Apex Friendship High and Holly Springs High, roughly level with Apex High, and clearly ahead of Willow Spring High and Middle Creek High. It also outpaces geographically close schools in lower-performing districts, such as Harnett Central High and Southern Wake Academy.

My student has been very happy at Fuquay Varina High School. She has been very successful due in part to the school's working lunch, where she can get help on any of the assignments she is having trouble with. We are both excited about the new principal coming in. My son knew him when we were at Green Hope and he connected with the kids in fun way, but was still the authority. Go, Tigers!! Close Quote
