Richlands High in Richlands, NC, is a comprehensive public high school serving about 1,027 students in grades 9–12 as part of Onslow County Schools, situated in the eastern North Carolina region near Marine Corps Base Camp Lejeune. The school currently holds a 1-star rating, ranked 480th out of 662 North Carolina high schools — a significant decline from a 53rd-percentile ranking just two years ago.

The school's clearest bright spot is its graduation rate: 93.1% for 2025-2026, well above the district rate of 91.5% and the state rate of 88.8%, and consistently between 92% and 95% for years. That beats several nearby schools, including White Oak High (89.1%), Southwest High (88.1%), and Jones Senior High School (76.6%). Chronic absenteeism has also improved, dropping to 22.2% after peaking at 38.3% in 2021-2022. The school serves some student groups well: African American students rank in the 56th percentile statewide, while English Language Learners rank in the 86th percentile.

The main concern is academic proficiency.
