New Bern High is a large, traditional public high school in New Bern, NC, serving about 1,637 students in grades 9–12 as part of the Craven County Board of Education. It ranks in the 30th percentile of North Carolina high schools with a 2-star rating, and its graduation rate of 81.8% trails both the district (83.5%) and state (88.8%) averages.

For parents considering New Bern High, the most useful comparison is Havelock High, another comprehensive high school in the same district with a nearly identical poverty profile (about 51% free/reduced-price lunch at New Bern vs. 52.5% at Havelock).
