Summary

Corinth-Holders Elementary is a public elementary school in Zebulon, North Carolina, serving 580 students in grades PK-5. The school is part of the Johnston County Public Schools district, which is ranked 94 out of 242 districts in the state.

Academically, Corinth-Holders Elementary generally performs in the middle range of North Carolina elementary schools, with some bright spots. The school outperforms the district and state averages in 5th grade science, with 72.8% proficiency in 2024-2025, compared to 66% for the district and 62% for the state. In 4th grade reading, the school matches the district average and exceeds the state. However, the school struggles to meet district and state averages in mathematics across all grade levels, an area that requires targeted interventions.

Despite serving a high-poverty student population, with nearly 100% of students eligible for free or reduced-price lunch, Corinth-Holders appears to be effectively serving its diverse learners. The school's performance for subgroups like African American and multi-racial students is stronger than the overall school performance. While Corinth-Holders lags behind higher-performing nearby schools like Riverwood Elementary and Thanksgiving Elementary, it outperforms East Clayton Elementary, another school in the Johnston County Public Schools district.

Open Quote I love Corinth Holders. I have had 3 kids to attend at this school and all of them love it. The classrooms are smaller which allows more one on one teaching. The grade level teachers work together to work with the students. This school truly enforced "No child left behind" Close Quote
