Open Quote My husband and I both graduated from Orono. We currently have 3 kids in the Orono school district. Hands down it is the best school district in the area. Does that mean my kids may have struggles? Possibly, but that would happen in any district. Will the struggles look different? Possible, but that is our job as parents to deal with accordingly as they may arise. My favorites about Orono, go beyond just the small class sizes (which don't get me wrong, are fabulous). I love that starting in Kindergarten, Orono student are participating in a variety of "specials", which they go out of their classroom and are taught by "specialists". These "specials" include world language/Spanish, computer class, art, gym, and music. I just am amazed at, not only the well organized PTO, but by the teachers that are without a doubt A+.
