Wayzata Public School District in Minnesota serves roughly 12,768 students across 15 schools — nine elementary, three middle, and three high schools — and ranks 10th of 458 Minnesota districts, at the 98th percentile with 5 stars. It outperforms the state in every tested subject: Math 72.4 versus 44.9 statewide, Reading 71.4 versus 48.6, and Science 44.3 versus 25.5. Enrollment spans from Wayzata High at 3,781 students to Wayzata Transition School at just 37.

Elementary schools are the strongest tier. North Woods Elementary School ranks 5th of 869 elementary schools (99th percentile) with district-best Math 85.9 and Reading 82.9, and the lowest free/reduced lunch rate at 5.81%. Meadow Ridge Elementary School (17th, 98th percentile) posts the top elementary science score at 55.2. Gleason Lake Elementary School, Plymouth Creek Elementary School, and Kimberly Lane Elementary School also rank in the top 5% of the state. Birchview Elementary School shows the clearest improvement, climbing from 227th to 162nd to 79th, with a 31.97% free/reduced lunch rate.

At the secondary level, Wayzata High ranks 7th of 473 high schools with a 97.2% graduation rate and 0.4% dropout rate. Middle school science splits sharply: Wayzata East Middle School 8th grade science is 44.9, versus 28.4 at Wayzata Central Middle School and 26.0 at Wayzata West Middle School. The Alternative Program (TAP) (60.56% FRL, 59.4 student-teacher ratio) and Wayzata Transition School (51.35% FRL, 7.4 ratio) are outliers not directly comparable to the comprehensive schools; TAP's 2025-26 Reading and Science scores are marked "—" because the state suppressed them and should be treated as unknown.
