My son goes here and I am not happy with them. They do not challenge him, they send homework home with no instructions. They are not a safe school, Last year I was able to take my son home with no ID. He has a new teacher that started in January I have not gotten any emails from her introducing herself or anything. This School is horrible, I see why they are ranked #608. Close Quote

I'ts an excellent school and Principal Prince is making a marked difference is the positive and active engagement of parents. My child brings homework at the Kindergarten level and I think that getting children to learn tenacity, grit and overall hard work is the most valuable aspect of raising them. The leadership is more concerned with her career and advancement instead of children's wellbeing. It is all about the test score instead of ensuring that children receive a quality education that they will be able to apply later in life. A lot of rote learning and teaching to the test happening. When I began at this school it was ranked much higher. Great teachers are leaving. Principal not focused on well being of children but rather pretending the school is doing great. People are always yelling and child behavior never dealt with. People are transferring and even moving to get out of there! Military atmosphere. Close Quote

I have two children at Rockledge Elementary. This past school year was my first experience. I would rate it one of the better schools. The principal is open to ideas and does listen. I'm not thrilled with class sizes and I hope this will be corrected next year. Also, for the size of the school I believe the school needs a principal and guidance counselor rather than a principal and vice principal. My children have had pretty good teachers and I hope that continues. Close Quote
