Parkdale High in Riverdale, MD, is a large traditional public high school serving 2,588 students in grades 9-12 as part of the Prince George's County Public Schools district, and it faces significant challenges with 96.75% of students qualifying for free or reduced lunch, reflecting extreme economic need.

Parkdale's academic performance is low, with a state ranking in the 25th percentile, but there are some bright spots.
