Summary

Bradford Elementary is a public elementary school located in Bradford, MA, serving 465 students in grades K-4. The school is part of the Haverhill School District, which is ranked 281 out of 348 districts in Massachusetts and has a 1-star rating from SchoolDigger.

Bradford Elementary has consistently ranked in the bottom half of Massachusetts elementary schools, with its overall ranking declining from 290th in 2014-2015 to 544th in 2024-2025. Its proficiency rates in English Language Arts (33.33%) and Mathematics (43.02%) are higher than the Haverhill district average but lower than the state average. Compared to nearby schools, Bradford Elementary outperforms Pentucket Lake Elementary in both ELA and Math, but lags behind higher-performing schools like Walnut Square, Silver Hill, Golden Hill, and Caleb Dustin Hunking School.

Bradford Elementary's performance varies significantly across different student subgroups. Hispanic and White students perform relatively better, but English Language Learners and Special Education students rank in the bottom quarter of Massachusetts schools. The school's performance for Low Socioeconomic Status students has also declined from a top 3 ranking in 2015-2016 to a bottom half ranking in 2024-2025. To address these challenges, the school and Haverhill district should closely examine the factors contributing to the performance decline and implement targeted interventions for struggling student groups.

Open Quote Spectacular school! Administration is excellent and the teachers are so dedicated! Three of my children are in this school and each of them love it! My oldest is entering fifth grade and is already sad he only has one year left! The after school activities that are offered are terrific! Has to be the best school in all of Haverhill and surrounding towns! Close Quote
