On the 2025–2026 MCAS tests, Holten Richmond's proficiency rates were below the state in English language arts (31.97% vs. 40.03%), math (32.35% vs. 41.11%), and science (38.71% vs. 40.98%), but above the state in civics (43.32% vs. 39.77%). Eighth-grade civics and eighth-grade science are relative bright spots, while seventh-grade ELA is the weakest area at 25.20% proficient, nearly 15 points below the state.
