Plymouth, Massachusetts is a coastal town south of Boston with 14 schools — eight elementary, two middle, and four high schools — serving roughly 7,649 students across the Plymouth district plus two charter districts. Plymouth ranks 182 of 351 statewide (48th percentile, 2 stars), while Rising Tide Charter Public (District) ranks 64 of 351 with 4 stars and Map Academy Charter School (District) ranks 350 of 351 with 0 stars.

Rising Tide Charter Public School is the strongest performer overall: ranked 63 of 353 (82nd percentile, 4 stars) and improving, with 10th-grade ELA of 76.27% and math of 78.95%, far above district and state. Among traditional public elementaries, Manomet Elementary leads (204 of 899, 77th percentile, 4 stars), followed by West Elementary, Nathaniel Morton Elementary, and Federal Furnace School; Manomet and West also post 5th-grade science well above district and state. Plymouth North High outranks Plymouth South High on tests, but South has the better graduation and dropout profile. Map Academy Charter School is the lowest performer by a wide margin, with a declining rank and a 27.9% graduation rate.

Math is the district-wide weakness — all-grade math is 36.0% versus 41.11% statewide, and high school math is 31.14% versus 43.73% — while elementary science is a bright spot. Spending and student-teacher ratios do not line up neatly with results: Plymouth North High spends the most per student yet trails the state in math and science, and Manomet Elementary has the highest elementary ratio yet is the top traditional elementary.
