The most important concern alongside that strong ranking is attendance: 48% of students were chronically absent in 2025–2026, compared with 45% in Leslie County and 24% statewide; only Hayes Lewis Elementary School was higher among the nearby schools, at 50%.

Stinnett’s strongest standout is fifth-grade social studies: 80% were proficient, compared with 60% in the district and 38% statewide, the highest reported score among nearby schools with results; next was W B Muncy Elementary School at 68%.
