Jayhawk-Linn High in Mound City, Kansas, enrolls 263 students in grades 7–12 in the Jayhawk district, near Prairie View High and Pleasanton High. Its latest all-grade proficiency rates were 34% in English language arts, 34% in math, and 24% in science, placing it second among the three nearby schools in each subject. The biggest concern is attendance: 29% of students were chronically absent, compared with 18% statewide, 14% at Prairie View, and 7% at Pleasanton.
