Summary

East Noble High School is a comprehensive grades 9–12 school serving 1,019 students in Kendallville, a small town in Noble County in northeast Indiana, making it the largest of the small-town and rural high schools in its immediate area — roughly tied with DeKalb High School (1,007 students). For 2025–26 it ranked 167th of 415 Indiana high schools (60th percentile, 3 stars), a solidly middle-of-the-pack result that is still 17 percentile points above its own East Noble School Corporation's overall standing (215th of 374, 2 stars). In other words, the high school is a relative strength within its district.

Attendance is the clearest success story. Chronic absenteeism was 13.0% in 2024–25, better than the state's 16.7% and 4th-best among nine nearby schools (behind Central Noble Junior Senior High School's standout 6.4%), and down from 26.0% five years earlier — essentially halved. The graduation rate is 95.1%, above the state's 89.7%. SAT Math is the strongest proficiency signal at 28.28% proficient, ahead of the state's 25.6% and 3rd of nine locally, behind only Carroll High School (40.58%, a much larger suburban Fort Wayne school that is better treated as a ceiling than a peer) and DeKalb High School. The main weaknesses are in science and reading. Biology end-of-course proficiency is 36.54%, 8th of nine local schools and above only Garrett High School, down 16.4 points from 52.91% the year before. SAT Reading/Writing is 51.52%, essentially level with the state (51.9%) and down 6.0 points. Overall, 2025–26 is a broad step back from an unusually strong 2024–25 (73rd percentile), with every student group moving down together, which points to school-wide or class-cohort effects rather than one failing program. Two gaps are worth watching: female students scored at the 71st percentile versus 45th for male students, and low-SES students (44th) and special education students (30th) trail the school's overall standing.
