Argos Community Junior-Senior High School is a small rural combined middle/high school at 500 Yearick Ave in Argos, Indiana, serving grades 6–12 with 320 students as the only secondary campus of Argos Community Schools. In 2025-26 it ranked 246th of 415 Indiana high schools — the 41st percentile, 2 stars — while the district ranked 235th of 374. That is a steep fall from 2017-18, when the school placed 46th of 385 at the 88th percentile.

Two things are genuinely strong: students show up and they finish. The 2024-25 graduation rate was 100.0% (state: 89.7%), and chronic absenteeism was 10.2% — the lowest of eleven nearby schools and far below the state's 16.7%. Academics are the concern. ELA proficiency is 25.53%, math 28.37%, SAT Math 20.00% and SAT ERW 48.00%, and Biology end-of-course fell from 61.11% to 21.43% in a single year. Science is the bright spot at 47.22%, above the state's 41.2% sixth-grade benchmark. Among local peers, Argos sits eighth of eleven, behind John Glenn High School, Triton Junior-Senior High School, Plymouth High School and Bremen Senior High School. Argos Community Schools are a throw-back to good discipline, high expectations and family. Their state testing scores are traditionally the highest of all the schools in the county--an over twenty year record. In 2009-2010, 30+% of graduates passed an Advanced Placement Exam. This places little Argos in the top 30 or 40 schools in the entire state. Despite not being a wealthy district, Argos has been one of the few schools in our county to grow with out-of-district students looking for something better. Close Quote
