Triton School Corporation is a small two-school Indiana district serving about 931 students from prekindergarten through 12th grade, with Triton Elementary School covering PK–6 with 517 students and Triton Junior-Senior High School covering grades 7–12 with 414 students. The district as a whole earned 4 stars and ranks 66 of 374 Indiana districts, placing it in the 82nd percentile.

Both schools earned 4 stars in 2025–26, but for different reasons. Triton Junior-Senior High School is the stronger-ranked school, at 68 of 415 schools (84th percentile), with a 96.8% graduation rate and 10.7% chronic absenteeism — both better than state averages. Its literacy and science results are strong: ELA all grades 61.9%, 8th grade ELA 70.42%, SAT reading and writing 58%, and Biology end-of-course 62.96%. Triton Elementary School is the improving school: its percentile rose from 54 to 61 to 71 over three years, moving from 3 stars to 4 stars, and its absenteeism is 7.7%. Elementary math (52.3%) is a strength, and 6th grade ELA (65.63%) and math (54.69%) sit well above state averages.

The biggest red flag is math at the junior-senior high school. ILEARN math all grades is 25.85%, far below the district's 43.26%, with 7th grade at 26.32% and 8th grade at 25.35%; SAT math is 26%, down from 30.26%. The high school spends more per student ($12,555 vs $10,104) and has smaller classes (13.1 vs 15.9 students per teacher), so resources alone do not explain the gap. At the elementary, 5th grade is the weak spot — ELA and math are both 35.82%, below state — and elementary ELA all grades (49.12%) trails the district (53.49%). Free or reduced lunch is higher at the elementary (50.87% vs 43%).
