MSD Wayne Township is an Indianapolis-area district serving roughly 14,851 students across 16 schools — 11 elementary, 2 middle, and 3 high schools — and is ranked 292 of 374 in Indiana at the 22nd percentile with 1 star, though performance varies dramatically from school to school.

The clearest bright spot is Ben Davis University High School, ranked 69 of 415 high schools at the 83rd percentile with 4 stars. It posts a 99.0% graduation rate (vs 82.4% district and 89.7% state), 7.2% chronic absenteeism, SAT ERW 60.83% and SAT Math 25%, all while serving a 73.6% free/reduced lunch population. By contrast, Ben Davis High School, the district's largest school at 3,315 students, graduates 89.8% but has 37.5% chronic absenteeism and much lower SAT results (ERW 28.56%, Math 10.53%), ranking 334 of 415 at the 20th percentile with 1 star. Achieve Virtual Education Academy is unusual: 0.0% reported absenteeism alongside a 50.8% graduation rate and very low SAT Math, with its 7th/8th grade ELA and Math results suppressed.
