In the 2024-2025 school year, only 18.4% of 3rd-grade students at Pine Street Elementary were proficient or better in English Language Arts, compared to 24.1% in Rockdale County and 34.9% statewide. While Pine Street's performance is concerning, there are some bright spots. For instance, 4th-grade ELA proficiency was higher than 3rd-grade in several recent years, suggesting potential strengths in certain grade levels or subject areas. Additionally, Honey Creek Elementary and Sims Elementary, which are also part of the Rockdale County district, have higher academic proficiency rates and rankings than Pine Street. Identifying and addressing the specific challenges faced by Pine Street Elementary could be crucial in improving student outcomes and the school's overall performance.

Open Quote Being new to the Rockdale school system I was unsure what the experience would be. So far Pine Street Elementary has made Me and my child's welcoming into the community fantastic. The teachers are awesome and I must say that they communicate accomplishments and concerns (if there were any) and that is a really big plus. When you step on the campus you get a since of pride. The school is newly built and they do a great job with the up keep. Every week it seems like the children have new activities that they are able to participate in and I love the fact that my child really like the food selections they have at school. Pine Street and its gifted program is really setting a standard amongst the Rockdale school system wanting to keep the children engaged. I felt compelled to write an honest review of 5 stars based on my experience so far amongst the six categories (Homework, Teachers, Leadership, Character, Learning differences and Bullying). When I look at my child's class and how bright they are I see the future of Conyers/Rockdale and beyond. Thank you all for the work you all do and us as parents appreciate you all. Close Quote
