Open Quote I had the worst time at that school. In fact, my time spent there was so bad, I knew Langston would be just as bad and was willing to attend another school that was almost two hours away from my house. I did just that because there was no way I would go to a highschool in South Fulton County. The district as a whole needs work. I'm glad we moved to Virginia and I have no intentions of returning. I wouldn't recommend this school, I am surprised that it hasn't been shut down. I guess the bad kids need somewhere to go...and I pray for the hidden gems that are stuck at that school like I was. I don't even want to get started on how most of the teachers acted...so immature. There were only a few teachers that actually deserved to be called teachers. Ms. Addison deserves so much more than that school. Honest review, this school deserves "Extremely poor", rather than, "Very poor." Close Quote

Open Quote Don't even know where to begin…I only give this school one star because
I give credit to some of the students there who have to battle everything that is against them at this school. This school is failing majority of the students everyday and setting them up for failure. I don't feel that my child is safe in this school and do not think that academically my child will progress. You will not get respect from the administration nor the teachers (not all but most!) and if you do it's in a condescending manner when you voice your concerns…and guess what? most of them would rather be teaching in a school on the other side of the tracks!!! They have an opportunity to really guide these young students to a bright future and prove that South Fulton public schools can excel as well as North Fulton schools…same curriculum. Yelling isn't solution…bullying isn't the solution…humiliation isn't the solution…disrespect isn't the solution…physical confrontation isn't the solution…frequent suspensions doesn't work. Talking and also listening helps a lot…greetings and smiling helps a lot…compliments and visioning a students potential helps a lot…positive reinforcement helps a lot…patience and understanding helps a lot. It takes a very special special person to teach children and not everyone has that X-factor and it seems as thou Renaissance Middle have many ? on the team. I took my child out of a Great private school because #1 finances and #2 I wanted and had hopes that my child would do just as great as my friend child who goes to a North Fulton public school…however I was wrong. I feel bad that I subjected my child to this. My child is bright and does not have any behavior issues and I am a very proactive parent…grades are slipping, concerns are not addressed properly, safety and well being is at risk, teacher student disrespect is unjustified, many parents angry and voicing there concerns in loud arguments throughout the halls. Just the normal stereotypical environment for a south side public school…very very sad and disappointed! I exhausted my efforts and patience with this school and they are failing my child along with so so many students however it's time for my child to continue to excel…where leaving after the Holidays. I hope the school reads this and greatly improves so that I can be proud of my neighborhood school. Close Quote
