Open Quote When you have a child that is going through the RE-2 school system and one of teachers in the system tells you (as a parent)that they will be selling their home and moving away before their child reaches high school age!! That is pretty significant. When the children in your childs fifth grade class have 9 out of 24(37.5%) students that are proficient in their multiplication tables between the 7's and 9's and all the other students are partially proficient at the 2's-4's and some 5's that should be a red flag.If your student is being given tests to study a week before the state tets(and they look a lot like the CSAP tests)you might want to dwell on that for a moment.A friendly smile,a slap on the back, and listening politely about your problems at the office, don't really translate into your child getting a GOOD education.

Open Quote WPHS is a comprehensive 9-12 school that strives to prepare 21st Century citizens to succeed academically, economically and socially. Recognizing the need for students to be motivated through a variety of experiences, Woodland Park offers a unique selection of elective courses, ranging from such titles as American History Through Film to Panther Enterprises, in which students learn the traditional business curriculum through the design, production, marketing, financing, ethics, etc. of running their own gift/souvenir business. Students in Panther Enterprises produce embroidery, dye Sublimation, heat transfer, large format printing (up to 44" wide) products for personal/family, in-District and community consumption. I am a grand-parent in the district and can attest to the positive effect this program, along with our outstanding Welding program, has had on the development of my own grand-children. Thank you Woodland Park for investing in the needs of all of your students. Truly "21st Century Skills in Action". Close Quote
