West stands apart from many nearby schools because it operates as a mainstream high school rather than an alternative program. Its 82% graduation rate (2024–2025) is far higher than nearby Florence Crittenton High School (20%), Contemporary Learning Academy (33.3%), Denver Justice High School (34.8%), and Colorado High School Charter (26.6%), and its 3.6% dropout rate is dramatically lower.
