Liberty High School is a comprehensive public high school in Colorado Springs, CO, serving 1,526 students in grades 9–12 as part of Academy School District No. 20, one of the highest-ranked districts in the state. With a 2025–2026 state ranking of 101st out of 338 high schools (70th percentile, 4 stars), Liberty is a solidly above-average school that sits in the middle of a very competitive local field. Within its own district, Liberty trails Pine Creek High School, Discovery Canyon Campus High School, TCA College Pathways, and Village High School, and is roughly tied with Rampart High School. However, it dramatically outperforms nearby non-district schools like Sand Creek High School, Doherty High School, and Vista Ridge High School.

Academically, Liberty beats state averages in every subject but trails its district peers. In 2025–2026, SAT Reading/Writing proficiency was 74% (compared with 60% statewide), but SAT Math was just 36%. That wide gap between reading and math is a defining feature of the school, and its math scores are the weakest among the comprehensive high schools in its district.
