Zip code 92882 has three middle schools in Citrus Hills Intermediate (grades 7–8), Corona Fundamental Intermediate (grades 6–8), and Letha Raney Intermediate (grades 6–8), all in Corona-Norco Unified. The clearest difference is in the grades all three schools share: in 2025–2026, Corona Fundamental’s proficiency was 20 to 29 percentage points higher than Raney’s across grade 7 and 8 ELA, math, and science.

Corona Fundamental was the strongest overall, leading four of the five shared-grade subject comparisons: it posted 66% in grade 8 ELA, 48% in grade 7 math, 45% in grade 8 math, and 48% in grade 8 science. Context measures do not mirror achievement in a simple way: 2024–2025 student-teacher ratios ranged from 18.1 at Raney to 25.8 at Citrus Hills, while free/reduced lunch eligible rates that year were 90% at Raney, 80% at Corona Fundamental, and 65% at Citrus Hills.
