As you review the school rankings data, please be aware that some of the information from certain demographics is missing. The reason for this omission is that the data has been redacted from the source data itself due to low population samples in these specific demographic groups.

Redacting data from low population samples is a necessary step to ensure the reliability and accuracy of the results, as small sample sizes may not be representative of the broader population. Additionally, this measure helps protect the privacy of individuals belonging to these demographic groups.

Open Quote I had a pretty good time at Twila Reid during my six and a half years being there. The only low point of my time there was the principal who kicked me out of the school in forth grade for living out of district but failed to acknowledge my high academic success there, the other students who lived out of district, and all my time there. Although I returned the following year, it was still difficult and my relationship was rather strained with Dr. Pipes after that. I can't say I was sad to see him retire, the new principal is good and nice( my little brother goes to Reid now). Twila Reid was good however because one of the teachers there, Ms. Knowles, is the reason for my academic success now and is just one of the many outstanding teachers at Twila Reid. If your child is struggling with school or behavioral issues, don't enroll them here, they'll only continue to struggle and fall behind. I recommend any school in Cypress. Hope this helped. Shoutout to my class of 2020 Close Quote

About Students eligible for discounted/free lunch:

The National School Lunch Program (NSLP) provides low-cost or free meals to students in U.S. public and nonprofit private schools based on household income. Those with incomes below 130% of the poverty line receive free lunch, while those between 130% and 185% qualify for reduced-price lunch. The percentage of students receiving free or reduced-price lunch serves as a marker for poverty, as it reflects the socioeconomic status of families in a given school or district. A higher FRPL rate typically indicates a higher concentration of low-income families, suggesting that the school or district may face additional challenges in providing adequate resources and support for student success.

About Student-Teacher Ratio

Student/teacher ratio is calculated by dividing the total number of students by the total number of full-time equivalent teachers. Please note that a smaller student/teacher ratio does not necessarily translate to smaller class size. In some instances, schools hire teachers part time, and some teachers are hired for specialized instruction with very small class sizes. These and other factors contribute to the student/teacher ratio. Note: For private schools, Student/teacher ratio may not include Pre-Kindergarten.
