Mira Vista Elementary is a K–8 school in Richmond, California, with 510 students in West Contra Costa Unified, serving an area with 10 other nearby schools in the comparison. In 2025–26, 41% of students were proficient in English Language Arts (ELA), 33% in math, and 40% in science. The clearest takeaway is that Mira Vista ranked second among the 11 schools in all three subjects, with only Madera Elementary ahead in each.

Science is Mira Vista’s strongest result relative to state and district figures: 40% were proficient, compared with 36% statewide and 24% in the district. Mira Vista is now a K-8 school. It is not an elementary school any more. Its ranking has moved up 354 slots in 2010 according to your statistics. The PTA, administration, teachers and students are striving to do even better in the years to come. The potential is there for Mira Vista to become the top choice in the district for a wonderfully diverse K-8 experience. Close Quote
