Summary

Mt. Diablo High is a public grades 9–12 school in Concord, California, serving 1,397 students in the East Bay and part of Mt. Diablo Unified. Its most pressing academic concern is that proficiency is well below state and district levels in every subject: in 2025–2026, about 30% of students were proficient in ELA, 12% in math and 15% in science, with math furthest behind the state and district.

Compared with nearby comprehensive high schools, Mt. Diablo also falls short of the four-school average in all three subjects: its results were about 8 points lower in ELA, 8 points lower in math and 7 points lower in science.
