Computer Science Virtual Academy is an alternative K–12 school in Los Angeles, California, serving 765 students in Los Angeles Unified. Its clearest concern is that student completion and attendance outcomes are much weaker than state and district benchmarks: in 2025–26, 60% graduated, compared with 90% in the district and 88% statewide, while 66% were chronically absent.

Academically, the school’s strongest subject is science: 43% of students were proficient in 2025–26, above the state’s 36% and district’s 32%, and the highest result among seven nearby Los Angeles Unified schools with reported scores. Math proficiency was also above the state and district rates, at 41% versus 38% and 40%, ranking second among those nearby schools. ELA is the main academic weakness: 42% were proficient, below the state’s 49% and district’s 48%, and fourth among the seven nearby schools.
