Summary

Norman Liddell Elementary is a K-6 public school serving 628 students in the Central Unified district of Fresno, CA, and it stands out as a consistently high-performing school that excels at supporting its student community.

Academically, the school's test scores in English, math, and science are significantly higher than both its district and state averages. The school also maintains a lower rate of chronic student absenteeism than the district and state, which is a key factor linked to its academic success.

Norman Liddell's closest peer is River Bluff Elementary, another high-performing school in Central Unified with similar demographics. Together, they demonstrate that effective school practices can lead to excellent outcomes. The school's performance shows it is a resilient model within its region, achieving strong results that outpace many other schools in the area facing similar challenges.

Open Quote BEWARE! Reviews on Google are so bad, it is turned OFF! Kids are bullied here. Staff protects the bullies. Minors are forced to write incident reports without parents consent. Parents are NOT allowed to review their child's incident reports. Fund raising money goes towards staff & staff parties, NOT the kids. Cross walk lady has a filthy mouth. Yelling/ cussing at parents. My 18 yr old daughter went to pickup my son. Cross walk lady goes in office, harasses my daughter telling her she's not allowed to text on her phone! My daughter informed her she doesn't attend school there & isn't a student. Cross walk lady continues to harass her by asking "Then why are you in here?". Are you kidding me? These staff are bullies, miserable, unhappy, & are snakes. They allowed a kindergartner to walk home alone while he was sick. His mom arrived to pick him up, only to realize he was gone. They found him 2 streets down. Teachers send messages on parents square to belittle & talk down on kids. They gossip by messaging `arents onParent Square causing a community uproar and turning parents against each other. This is immature and has been allowed to gc on for years now. Close Quote
