Open Quote I have been a parent at King-Chavez Primary for the last three years- both my daughters attended this year (TK and 2nd). Our time at KCPA has been so wonderful- because the school is a charter, they make all their own teacher hires (instead of through the district) and they pick very loving and patient teachers that are passionate about their rapport with the kids. My daughters have grown so much and get great attention from their teachers.
My younger daughter is in the Dual-Immersion program and even though we only speak English at home, she is so excited to be learning a second language! She is already singing, counting, and beginning to speak in Spanish after one year! I am thrilled to have a school like this one so close to our home. Although district schools offer academic experiences, I feel that KCPA really tries to teach the whole child. They have PE, Art, Hands-on Science, and Leadership enrichment classes each week (and after school clubs!) I just couldn't be happier about the experience my girls are getting here.

About Student-Teacher Ratio
Student/teacher ratio is calculated by dividing the total number of students by the total number of full-time equivalent teachers. Please note that a smaller student/teacher ratio does not necessarily translate to smaller class size. In some instances, schools hire teachers part time, and some teachers are hired for specialized instruction with very small class sizes. These and other factors contribute to the student/teacher ratio. Note: For private schools, Student/teacher ratio may not include Pre-Kindergarten.
