Shoreline Unified has five schools serving 469 students, from kindergarten through grade 12; its three elementary schools have varied grade spans, including K–8 at Tomales Elementary. Three schools have reportable 2025–26 all-grades test scores. Among them, West Marin Elementary leads in all three subjects, though the three schools’ averages remain below the state in ELA, math, and science.
West Marin stands out most: it scored 45% in ELA, 37.8% in math, and 44% in science, compared with state rates of 49%, 38.4%, and 36%. Its science result was 8 points above the state, while math was 1 point below. By contrast, Tomales Elementary scored 25% in ELA and 18% in math—24 and 20 points below the state. Tomales High had the lowest science result at 10%, 26 points below the state, but reported a 100% graduation rate and 0% dropout rate. Grade-level results reinforce West Marin’s advantage in fifth grade: its ELA was 62% versus 16% at Tomales Elementary, and math was 54% versus 0%.
