Harmony Union Elementary

Harmony Union Elementary has two schools serving grades K–8: Harmony Elementary serves K–1, and Salmon Creek School - A Charter serves grades 2–8. The supplied 2025–2026 test results show Salmon Creek above the state in English language arts (ELA) and science, but below it in mathematics: 66% versus 49% in ELA, 50% versus 36% in science, and 35% versus 38% in math. The most important finding is that Salmon Creek’s results are mixed by subject, with math its clearest relative weakness.

Salmon Creek is the only school with supplied test scores, so there is no supported top-to-bottom ranking between the two schools; Harmony has no score entries, and its K–1 grades do not permit a like-for-like comparison. At Salmon Creek, results vary considerably by grade: ELA was 94% in grade 3 and 48% in grade 5, while math was 78% in grade 3 and 16% in grade 5. Those contrasts suggest a student’s grade and subject matter when interpreting the school’s overall figures. In science, the two reported grades were more alike: 52% in grade 5 and 47% in grade 8, both above their respective state results.

Salmon Creek’s recent trend differs by subject: from 2024–2025 to 2025–2026, ELA rose 2 percentage points and its advantage over the state widened by 2 points; math fell 4 points, moving from 2 points above the state to 3 below; and science fell 23 points, though it remained 14 points above the state. SchoolDigger ranked Salmon Creek at the 71st percentile with four stars in 2025–2026, after the 74th percentile in 2024–2025 and 72nd in 2023–2024; Harmony’s latest supplied SchoolDigger entry is much older, from 2006–2007. Salmon Creek’s 2024–2025 student-teacher ratio was 18.5, compared with 16.8 at Harmony. In 2024–2025, free/reduced lunch eligible enrollment was 25% at Salmon Creek and 27% at Harmony; these figures are context, not an explanation for school results.
