Summary:
Greenfield Union has 13 schools: 10 elementary schools serving K–5 or K–8, and three middle schools serving grades 6–8. Results vary widely between schools, but the clearest shared concern is math: the average was 28% at the nine regular K–5 schools and 25% at the three middle schools, compared with 38% statewide.
W. A. Kendrick Elementary is the strongest K–5 performer, leading the group in ELA, math, and science at 68%, 54%, and 42%—19, 16, and 6 percentage points above state results. Granite Pointe Elementary was also just above the state in all three subjects: 49.4% versus 49.3% in ELA, 38.7% versus 38.4% in math, and 36.4% versus 36.0% in science. At the other end, Planz Elementary had the lowest K–5 results in all three subjects—26% in ELA, 14% in math, and 16% in science—trailing the state by 24, 24, and 20 points. Among middle schools, Leon H. Ollivier Middle led in every subject; its ELA and science results were 6 and 3 points above the state, though its math was 8 points below. Greenfield Middle had the lowest middle-school ELA and science results, while McKee Middle had the lowest math result.
From 2024–25 to 2025–26, K–5 averages improved by 1 point in ELA and 4 points in science, but fell by 1 point in math; middle-school ELA rose by 1 point, math slipped by less than 1 point, and science rose by 1 point without keeping pace with the state. SchoolDigger ranked Kendrick at the 79th statewide percentile and Planz at the 10th; Ollivier was at the 62nd percentile, compared with 38th for Greenfield Middle and 41st for McKee. The nine regular K–5 schools report free/reduced lunch eligible shares of 90%–97% for 2024–25; Prosperity Elementary instead reports 70% directly certified for free meals in 2024–25, a different measure. Greenfield Community has 13 students across K–8 and 58% chronic absenteeism; its science result is suppressed, and its small size makes it unlike the other schools for comparison.
