Summary:

The five high schools in Agua Fria Union High School District serve grades 9–12, with enrollments ranging from 1,535 to 2,295. The clearest overall pattern is that Millennium High School leads across subjects, while Agua Fria High School is lowest in all three.

Millennium is the strongest performer: its 11th-grade proficiency is 52% in ELA, 37% in mathematics, and 23% in science—14, 6, and 4 percentage points above state rates, respectively. Verrado High School is also above the state in all three subjects, at 44%, 37%, and 20%. At the other end, Agua Fria posts 21%, 19%, and 10%, below state rates by 17, 12, and 9 points. Desert Edge High School is notably low in mathematics, at 17%, while Canyon View High School is closer to state results, with 39% in ELA, 30% in mathematics, and 16% in science. The gap between the highest and lowest school reaches 31 points in ELA, 20 in mathematics, and 13 in science.

SchoolDigger’s statewide percentile positions improved for all five schools from 2023–24 to 2025–26: Millennium rose 5 points, Canyon View 2, Desert Edge 4, Verrado 9, and Agua Fria 8; SchoolDigger’s 2025–26 ratings give Millennium and Verrado 3 stars, Canyon View and Desert Edge 2, and Agua Fria 1. School size or student–teacher ratio does not neatly track results: Agua Fria has the lowest ratio, 16.3, yet the lowest proficiency, while Millennium has the highest enrollment and leads or ties in every subject. Graduation rates are high across the group, averaging 94% compared with 80% statewide. The proficiency figures cover one year, so they do not show whether test scores are improving.
