Kyrene de las Lomas School serves 471 students in PK–5 in Phoenix and is part of the Kyrene Elementary District. In 2025–26, overall proficiency was 40% in English Language Arts (ELA) and 30% in math. Fifth-grade results were especially low: 26% in ELA and 18% in math, with fifth-grade science proficiency also at 18% in 2024–25. That science result was below the state’s 34% and the district’s 44%, and was the lowest among nine nearby schools reporting results. The clearest concern is that fifth grade is weak across all three measured subjects.

Not very proactive when it comes to bullying. Need to be very involved with the discipline at this school. Administration would rather bury their head in the sand and hope it goes away. My son was assaulted by a fellow student who had supposedly broke another students wrist a month or so earlier. Had to threaten to start having police show up and start taking police reports and legal action before the Dean of Students took me seriously. Close Quote
