Hartford Sylvia Encinas Elementary serves 702 students in prekindergarten through sixth grade in Chandler, within the Chandler Unified District #80. Its 2025–26 SchoolDigger standing was at the 30th percentile statewide, with 2 stars, compared with the district’s 65th percentile and 3 stars. The most important finding is that Hartford’s all-grade English language arts and math proficiency rates were below both the state and district rates.

Hartford’s relative strength is sixth grade: 43% were proficient in both ELA and math, above state rates of 41% and 30%, respectively. Fifth-grade science was also close to the state result, at 31% compared with 34%, though it trailed the district’s 48%. Schoolwide, however, ELA proficiency was 31%—below the state’s 41% and district’s 58%—and math was 28%, below 33% statewide and 51% districtwide.
