Kingman Unified School District

The 13 schools in Kingman Unified School District include seven elementary, three middle and three high schools serving families in Kingman, Arizona. Across schools with reported 2025–2026 results, average proficiency was 29% in ELA and 21% in math, about 12 percentage points below Arizona’s 41% and 33%, respectively; district results were 30% and 21%. The clearest area-wide finding is that reported proficiency averages trail the state by about the same amount in both subjects.

White Cliffs Middle School stands out among middle schools, with 40% in ELA and 25% in math, compared with 24% and 13% at Kingman Middle School. Among elementary schools, Manzanita Elementary led reported math results at 35%, while Hualapai Elementary was close at 34%; both had 35% in ELA. At the lower end, Black Mountain Elementary School had the lowest reported elementary math result, 9%, and Cerbat Elementary the lowest reported elementary ELA result, 26%. For high schools, Lee Williams High School had stronger 11th-grade results than Kingman High School—34% versus 23% in ELA and 17% versus 13% in math—and a higher graduation rate, 84% versus 70%. KOLA High School had the lowest reported graduation rate, 59%, and highest dropout rate, 16%.

SchoolDigger’s ranking history shows a small overall dip, not a district-wide decline: across nine schools with consecutive records, the average statewide percentile moved from 27 to 25 between 2023–2024 and 2025–2026. Five schools rose and four fell; Desert Willow Elementary School gained 6 percentile points, while Black Mountain Elementary School lost 14. School size and student-teacher ratios do not provide a simple explanation for differing results: White Cliffs had a ratio of 22.7 and higher results than Kingman Middle, whose ratio was 21.7.
