Open Quote I had a fun time at Galloway Ridge, although as pretty much any school, it's a drag in the morning, and all day students are anxious to get out. Teachers find a way to be serious while teaching, but still make students raise their hand and get involved. But the punishment system is a little bit overboard right about know. If you misbehave, you get a step. Getting 4 steps in one day gives you a detention. Well some teachers don't consider autistic kids, so they end up racking up 3 steps before lunch time. If you forget to do your homework, you get a working lunch. If you get a working lunch 2 times in 45 days, you get a detention... WHAT?! Luckily, this rule is rarely enforced because some kids in this school forget their homework once a week, so the pretty much deserve about 3 detentions. But the worst part? It's what you do at working lunch. So you go to a room after you purchase your lunch and then you do all your work, then eat your lunch, then sit silently and read. No recess! You can't talk! Also, the teachers take you for stupid! My friend is highly gifted in math, and he got a working lunch because he took home the wrong notebook. During his working lunch a teacher walked by and asked, if it's 12:30 now, and you go back at 12:45, how long do you wait? He replied, "15 minutes..." The teacher complimented his intelligence. That's a second grade problem! But anyways, Galloway ridge was better than most schools I've seen. So I give it 3.8 of 5, but 4 is close enough. Close Quote
