Wind River High School serves 117 students in grades 9–12 in Pavillion, Fremont County, Wyoming. Its latest WY-TOPP results show a striking difference by grade: 10th graders are above state proficiency rates in all three reported subjects, while 9th graders are below the state in both reported subjects. In 2025–2026, 10th-grade proficiency was 70% in English Language Arts (ELA), 57% in math, and 70% in science—15, 12, and 16 percentage points above state rates. The clearest takeaway is that strong 10th-grade results sit alongside a significant need to understand support for students entering 9th grade.
