Sheridan County School District #1 has three high schools: Tongue River High School and Big Horn High School, which serve grades 9–12, and The Bridge School, which serves grades 6–12. Among the schools with reported proficiency results, Big Horn is the clear leader: in 2025–26 it scored 27.1 to 32.9 percentage points higher than Tongue River across all five matched grade-and-subject comparisons.
Big Horn stands out at the top, with results of 78.6% to 90.5% and scores at least 30.1 points above Wyoming’s state results in every comparison.
