Thomas Jefferson Middle is a 677-student school serving grades 5–8 in Port Washington, Wisconsin — a lakeside community on Lake Michigan in Ozaukee County, about 25 miles north of Milwaukee — and it is one of the larger middle schools in the region, part of the Port Washington-Saukville School District. The school has earned a 4-star state rating in each of the last ten reporting years, ranking 141st of 643 schools (78th percentile) in 2025-26. Its trend line climbed to a peak of the 89th percentile in 2021-22 and 2022-23, softened to the 73rd in 2024-25, and has now rebounded.

Principal is awful, his sidekick is worse. I have never seen such ineptness at a school and I have 5 children. Put my child on half days because he did not bother trying to find out why he was not engaged. The year before he was an honor roll student. The year after, honor roll. Graduating from high school this year with High honors, scholarship for college. It starts at the top. He should not be in charge. Close Quote
