Oconto Middle is a 5th- through 8th-grade school serving 270 students in Oconto, Wisconsin, part of the Oconto Unified School District. It is mid-sized among nearby middle schools — smaller than Marinette Middle (534 students) and Oconto Falls Middle School (377), larger than Southern Door Middle (205), Peshtigo Middle (151), and Coleman Middle (142) — and one of only two nearby schools that starts in grade 5. Oconto Middle ranked 373 of 643 middle schools in 2025-2026 (42nd percentile, 2 stars), a modest rebound after dipping to the 36th percentile in 2024-2025. Its district placed in the 25th percentile statewide, below every nearby district except the Marinette School District.
