Mondovi Middle is a public middle school in the small western Wisconsin city of Mondovi, serving grades 6–8 with 197 students as part of the Mondovi School District. In 2025–26 it ranked 347th of 643 Wisconsin middle schools (46th percentile, 2 stars), well above its district's 28th percentile, 1-star ranking — an 18-point gap suggesting the middle school performs better than the district overall. Even so, the school has slipped from its earlier peak: it sat around the 67th–68th percentile with 3 stars from 2015–16 through 2018–19, and has since ranged between the 41st and 54th percentiles.

Attendance is the clearest strength. Chronic absenteeism was 8.8% in 2024–25 — about half the state's 17.3%, and lower than Eleva-Strum Middle (9.2%), Gilmanton Middle (10.5%), South Middle (12.8%), Altoona Middle (13.6%), and DeLong Middle (17.4%); only Independence Middle was lower at 8.0%. Academically, math is a relative strength: average math proficiency across grades is roughly 59.2%, above the state's 54.3%, and 7th grade stands out in both math (69.12%) and ELA (64.71%), each above state averages.

Sixth-grade ELA (46.55%) and 8th-grade ELA (45%) fall below state averages, as do 8th-grade science (40% versus 51.86%) and social studies (56.67% versus 64.63%) — science being the lowest among nearby peers. Subgroup effectiveness has also weakened: special education students dropped from the 65th percentile in 2023–24 to the 32nd in 2025–26, and low-SES students from the 53rd to the 40th percentile.
